Who we are

Popeye's Supplements Calgary is the trade name of Ipe Abraham Consulting Ltd., a family-owned supplement retailer operating five locations in Calgary and Red Deer, Alberta since 2001. We are an independent franchisee — the Edmonton Popeye's stores are operated by a separate franchisee and are not covered by this policy.

What we collect

When you use the free reward offer on this site, we collect:

• Your mobile phone number — used solely to send you the one-time SMS offer code.
• The first three characters of your postal code (FSA) if you use the store locator. We don't store your full postal code.
• Approximate locationif you opt in to geolocation (you must explicitly tap “Use my current location”). We use it once, in the browser, to sort the 5 stores by distance — we don't transmit or store your coordinates.
• Standard analytics signals — page views, scroll depth, tap events, traffic source — through Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Conversions API. These signals are tied to a randomly generated browser identifier, not to your phone number.

How we use your phone number (CASL)

Your phone number is used to send one SMS with your offer code, and (optionally) onereminder on day 12 if you haven't redeemed it. We do not use your number for marketing campaigns, list-building, or sale to third parties.

We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) — you provide express consent when you submit the form, and you can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any SMS we send. Reply HELP for support contact info.

By submitting your phone number you consent to receive a one-time SMS offer code from Popeye's Supplements Calgary and (optionally) one reminder. Standard message rates may apply. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP. We will never use your number for any other purpose without your express consent.

How long we keep it

Phone numbers are retained for up to 30 days after the offer code expires(14 days from the day we send it), then automatically deleted from our SMS gateway. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics signals (e.g. “X codes redeemed from Calgary FSA T2N”) may be retained longer for campaign reporting.

Cookies and analytics

We use:

• Essential cookies for the location selector (which store you picked) and form state — these expire after 30 days.
• Google Analytics 4 for traffic measurement (page views, scroll depth, tap events). GA4 cookies are tied to a random browser identifier, not your phone number.
• Meta Conversions API if you arrived via a Meta ad. Hashed conversion signals (not raw phone numbers) are sent server-to-server for ad measurement.

You can decline non-essential analytics by enabling Do Not Track in your browser, using an ad blocker, or contacting us directly.

Your rights

Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct any information that is inaccurate.
• Withdraw consent for SMS communication at any time (reply STOP).
• Request deletion of your phone number from our SMS gateway before the automatic 30-day retention window expires.
• File a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta if you believe your privacy rights have been violated.

Third parties

We share your phone number only with our SMS gateway provider for the sole purpose of delivering your offer code. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.

Our website is hosted on Vercel. Standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, timestamp) are retained for 30 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes.

Children

This site and the offer are intended for adults age 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information through this site, contact us at privacy@popeyescalgary.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy if our data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via the homepage banner.
